In order to find the answer of this question, I am going to introduce a student called Zhe Zhao to you. After knowing about him（確定一下同學的性別） and listening to my speech, you will have a new perspective of looking at the role that advertisement plays in our daily life.

Zhe Zhao who prefers to be called as Forely is a student majors in advertising. He shared what he thought about how advertisement changed our lives. (Show Visual aid 1: the questionnaire that includes the basic information and his opinions about advertisement) He said people started to pay attention to improve life quality because of advertisements. For instance, when people want to purchase a water dispenser, they would not only consider about the price, but also focus on whether it can provide clean water without potential safety hazards. The reliable brands of water dispenser that comes out of our mind may be Midea or Haier, which are usually being advertised in our daily life. (Show Visual aid 2: show papers with brief information and logos about Midea and Haier) Those reliable brands that are being advertised everyday improved our life quality. The channels that people can know about those trusty brands are exactly from advertisements.
Zhe Zhao mentioned that they should improve the ability of identifying a product when enjoying the benefits from advertisements as well. In this age of excess material, the advertisement competiveness is getting larger. Therefore, the amount of advertisements is increasing and the style is getting more various. (Show visual aid 3: pictures with all kinds of advertisements that can be found on newspaper or websites). Product manufacturer pursues a more competitive advertising effect but neglects the quality of their products. Facing a mighty army of the advertisements, the ability of indentifying a product from consumers is decreasing. Consumers are in a position where accept information passively because of long-term reliance on advertisements. Even though people’s consumption consciousness has improved in a way, people still need to enhance their abilities of identifying product qualities.
To sum up, Zhe Zhao who majors in advertising gives his two different sides of opinions about how advertisement changes our lives. One is the benefits that people can gain from advertisements, which is there are some reliable choices that are offered to consumers. Another one is what people should remain vigilant, which is to have a correct judgement about one product. What he shared with us is objective and worth being referred to in our daily lives.
